Facilities at Vistara Primary School

The school’s grounds consist of seven acres of rural countryside, encompassing remnant rainforest trees, established rainforest trees, native birds and animals, terraced eating areas, children’s flower and vegetable gardens, fruit and native bush food trees and Koala habitat area.

Our school buildings consist of air-conditioned classrooms. The Lower Primary classroom has two learning areas. The building has separate amenities, two verandas; one is used for outdoor art and crafts, the other is used for free play, story time, construction building and group activities.

A covered walkway connects to the middle and upper primary tree-top classrooms and shared art and makerspace room. The design of the building incorporates an octagon shaped hall, a get well room, pupil amenities and an easy access bathroom.

A second covered walkway connects to a covered eating area, a multipurpose space and library, computer space, office reception area and an easy access ramp.

The school also has 46 solar panels and rainwater tanks.

The school’s educational resources meet the NSW Syllabus Key Learning Area requirements for all stages of learning. There are also a range of recreational and educational games available to students during teaching and non-teaching times.

Our school provides a stimulating learning and play environment. The grounds are terraced and consist of; quiet and active play areas. The quiet areas allow children to play in a large shaded sandpit, work in the vegetable gardens or enjoy some quiet reading at the seating area. The active play areas include a paved area for elastics and skipping, a fenced concreted handball court, a fenced playfield and an adventure playground.
